ATLANTIC MUTUAL EXPANDS ADVANCED AGENT INTERFACE SYSTEM TO INCLUDE PERSONAL LINES TRANSACTIONS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
New York, NY, July 7, 2003 -- Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company today announced that it has expanded Abiz, its highly successful, online processing system from commercial to personal lines, giving its agents real-time access to their entire book of business including current policy, claims and billing information and allowing them to execute new business, renewals and endorsements online.
Now personal lines agents will have access to the same innovative system that began allowing commercial lines agents to save time and money processing all their commercial business online more than a year ago.
"This is customer service at its best," said Karen Stovall, personal lines manager at Associated Insurance Service, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky. "We’re saving two or three phone calls when customers ask about individual policy information and billing."
With Abiz, agents are doing real-time checks on their book of business by name or policy number. "No more telephone tag or voicemail while we dig up information," notes Ms. Stovall. "We can print out PDF files on coverage and get copies of individual policies and billing while we’re talking to the customer on the telephone. Once you experience this, you can never go back to the way business was done," she emphasized.
With the new Abiz personal lines capability, Atlantic Mutual agents can now check a premium payment status and do a quick appraisal of a customer’s home to make certain coverage values are sufficient. They can do a home inspection online using stored pictures from appraisals.
Agents can list all claims on a policy level with links to claims detail. And they can access all policy detail including completed appraisals. Agents can generate a policy loss analysis and generate renewal lists and handle all renewals online.
"Agents with both commercial and personal lines coverage with Atlantic Mutual have been clamoring for the personal lines capability of Abiz," said Daniel Olmsted, senior vice president, Personal Insurance Division at Atlantic Mutual. "They’ve found it gives them more time to focus on relationship selling and to handle more business with the same customer service staff."
