NOTICE TO POLICYHOLDERS SERVING IN ACTIVE MILITARY DUTY

New York, NY, May 30, 2003 -- Atlantic Mutual supports those of you who serve in the U.S. military including the Reserves and National Guard. We recognize that as you put aside personal and professional interests to serve our country, you may need accommodations as concerns your insurance.

If you are currently serving or have been called to active duty, you may designate an adult third party to receive bills and other notices related to your insurance coverage while on active duty. To designate a third party, you should submit to your agent the following information: 1) the third party’s name, address and telephone number; and 2) a statement signed and dated by the third party indicating his/her agreement to become a third party designee.

You also have the right to suspend or remove coverage without penalties. However, please remember that under any automobile insurance, you must comply with all applicable conditions for suspension such as surrendering your vehicle registration and plates to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Please consult with your agent before taking any action to suspend or remove coverage.

If you have an Atlantic Mutual claims-made professional liability policy, your policy will continue, during your period of active duty, to permit reporting of claims arising out of incidents that took place prior to that period, but will be suspended in all other respects including payment of further premium until your return from military duty to professional practice. At the time of your return, coverage and premium payments for such coverage will resume, based on the claims-made step at the time of activation, and your policy expiration date will be adjusted in order to reflect the duration of your intervening military service.

Should you have any concerns during the period of your active duty, please contact your agent.
