About Our Companies
There are three primary organizations involved with the Atlantic Master Plan personal insurance program.

ACE Private Risk Services is a business unit of the ACE Group of Companies (ACE), a global leader in insurance and reinsurance.

Policy Underwriters
Atlantic Master Plan policies are underwritten (also called “issued”) by property & casualty carriers that are members of either Countrywide Insurance Group* (CIG) or The Atlantic Companies (Atlantic). Policyholders should check the Declarations Pages of their policy to see which company issues their policy. Most policies currently in effect are underwritten by a CIG carrier.
In addition, all Atlantic Master Plan policies are 100 percent reinsured by ACE American Insurance Company (ACE). Reinsurance is a way that insurance companies pass the benefits and risks of policies they write among themselves. The reinsurance means that the company that issued an Atlantic Master Plan policy now has the added protection of ACE for the claims Atlantic Master Plan policyholders might make. ACE holds an "A+" rating from both A.M. Best and Standard & Poor's.
The property & casualty insurance companies of CIG are:
- Balboa Insurance Company
- Meritplan Insurance Company
- Newport E&S Insurance Company
- Newport Insurance Company
The property & casualty carriers of Atlantic are:
